A new webinar for journalists and
future journalists: "Practical tools and methods: Maldita case study”
The Eurocomunicare Association
invites you to the fourth webinar in the series "Fact-checking -
methods and best practices". The event, which aims to bring together
international experts with expertise in fact-checking, combating disinformation
and media literacy, will take place on the Zoom platform on Thursday
13th of July 2023, starting at 18:00 (Romanian time).
Thus, the webinar - "Practical
tools and methods:Maldita case study" will feature Coral García
Dorado, journalist,
fact-checker and coordinator of international projects at Maldita.es, one of
the most important fact-checking organization from Spain.
The online event on 13 July is
an opportunity for journalists, future journalists and media specialists (as
well as any party interested in the process of fact-checking) to interact with
speakers with expertise in fact-checking and discuss case studies and applied
information to support them in their journalistic work.
The activity is part of the
initiative "FactBoost - Strengthening the fact-checking skills of
journalists", a project implemented with the support of the European
Media and Information Fund (EMIF), set up by the European University Institute
and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Through the FactBoost initiative, the
Eurocomunicare Association aims to contribute to the strengthening of
journalists' fact-checking skills by creating a mixed community between
journalists (experienced and early career) and international experts in
combating disinformation and fact-checking.
